Clinical Engagement Specialist

The Clinician Advocate (CA) team is responsible for driving engagement and collaboration within a global community of physicians. It is the role of the CA team to facilitate the sharing of clincian knowledge on the DocMatter platform, and provide each individual physician with a customized experience to help them best use DocMatter to address their unique challenges and share their experience and expertise. Your work on the CA team will help to establish DocMatter as the go to place for clinician peer to peer education and collaboration around appropriate use of medical devices, challenging cases, innovative research, and other clinical topics to ultimately advance patient care through knowledge transfer.

Under that umbrella, the Clinical Engagement Specialist is specifically responsible for ensuring alignment with our industry and society partners to better support collaboration among physicians around their product(s) or speciality areas – think customer success with a clinical bend. You will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders (clinicians, industry, and society staff) to ensure success and growth of various clinician collaboration networks in DocMatter. You will be speaking directly with our industry partners to better understand the challenges physicians face in learning how to appropriately implement their product in clinical practice, and develop a strategy to tackle those educational challenges through peer to peer discussion and case sharing in DocMatter. You will manage clinician steering committees to help align DocMatter to the needs of specific medical subspecialities. You will oversee appropriate growth, engagement and quality metrics related to clinician collaboration to ensure effective clinician education around various medical devices.

As a successful Clinical Engagement Specialist, you take initiative, you're curious, you pay meticulous attention to detail, and you exhibit empathy, horsepower, integrity, creative problem solving skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills with a passion for healthcare. You have a background in medicine or healthcare and customer success, account management or operations, and feel comfortable and confident understanding and guiding clinical discussions.

Specifically responsibilities include:
Strategically align and build relationships with key stakeholders (clinicians and industry) to support customer success and growth
Drive success of networks of clinicians connected by similar interests, ensuring appropriate growth, engagement, quality and cadence of dialogue, and communication with stakeholders
Strategically align and build relationships with key stakeholders (clinicians and industry) to support customer success and growth
Lead clinical conversations with clinicians and industry personnel across a wide range of specialties with the aim of driving discussion and collaboration on the DocMatter platform
Identify opportunities to improve the clinician and customer experience through process improvement

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Background in medicine, healthcare, or sciences and ability to understand and guide clinical discussions
4+ years experience in customer success, account management or operations (may include time spent in other roles in the healthcare space)
A natural curiosity and detail-orientation
Empathy, horsepower, inclination to take initiative, collaborative attitude
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a passion for healthcare

This is a full-time position. We are sheltering in place now, but we are normally based out of our San Francisco headquarters a few blocks from the Ferry Building.
