Psychology Instructors (Residential Summer Employment)

The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth has exciting summer employment opportunities for graduate and advanced undergraduate students and alumni interested in teaching psychology.

As a CTY instructor, you lead a small class of 12-18 bright students through a rigorous and interactive three-week course with the support of a teaching assistant. In addition to a competitive salary, instructors receive housing and meals on campus. Opportunities are available for staff to work three or six weeks.
 
Our psychology courses are:
  • The Sensory Brain (5th-6th graders)
  • Cognitive Psychology (7th-10th graders)
  • The Foundations of Psychology (7th-10th graders)
  
Desired Qualifications
Successful instructor candidates have significant lead teaching experience and relevant degrees. Experience working with young people is strongly preferred.

Terms of Employment
  • Starting salary for two sessions ranges from $4,800 to $6,000 depending upon years of experience and education.
  • Housing and meals are provided at residential sites.
  • Employees provide their own transportation to domestic sites.
