Impact Career Crawl

Visit Houston organizations to learn about careers that make a difference in the world! Come learn about different Houston that take technology and innovate new methods that give back to the Houston community. Meet Rice alumni, enhance your career readiness, and learn more about how to translate your skills into careers that innovate and do good for the world.

On February 13th, we will be visiting...
  • The Ion Houston, featuring a start-up panel of local Houston organizations
  • Arnold Ventures
  • United Against Human Trafficking

Career Crawls offer students valuable opportunities to learn about employers, industries, and careers on-site. Crawls are designed to give students an understanding of the daily life in a career field, how to successfully find a career in that field, and expand their professional networks. Students may also learn more about whether a particular career field matches their interests, skills, and values.

Career Crawls are open to current Rice University undergraduates of all schools who are in good academic and judicial standing, regardless of work authorization status.

There is no cost to students to participate in the Career Crawl. We will leave Rice on Thursday, February 13 at approximately 9:00 am and return midafternoon. Transportation via shuttle and breakfast and lunch are included.

To apply, submit a short paragraph that answers the following two questions:
  1. Why are you interested in participating in this Career Crawl?
  2. What do you hope to gain by participating in this Career Crawl?

Students will be notified that they have been selected to participate and will be required to attend a Pre-Experience Workshop during the week of February 3.

After the Crawl, students will be expected to complete a Post-Experience reflection and survey.
