Career Crawl - Austin, Purpose-Driven Companies
Visit Austin employers, meet Rice alumni, enhance your career readiness, and learn more about what a purpose-driven career can mean. On this Austin Career Crawl, we will be visiting purpose-driven organizations like LIVESTRONG, Mitscoots, and Feeding Texas. You will also have the opportunity to sit in on a legislative session at the Capital.
Career Crawls offer students valuable opportunities to learn about employers, industries, and careers on-site. Crawls are designed to give students an understanding of the daily life in a career field, how to successfully find a career in that field, and expand their professional networks. Students may also learn more about whether a particular career field matches their interests, skills, and values.Career Crawls are open to current Rice University undergraduates of all schools who are in good academic and judicial standing, regardless of work authorization status.
There is no cost to students to participate in the Career Crawl. We will leave Rice on Wednesday, February 8 at approximately 6:00 pm and return to campus Friday, February 10 at approximately 9:00 pm. Transportation via van, double occupancy hotel accommodations, and meals are included. Students may want to bring a small amount of money for incidentals.
To apply, submit your resume and a paragraph that answers the following two questions: Why are you interested in participating in this Career Crawl? What do you hope to gain by participating in this Career Crawl? Students will be notified that they have been selected to participate by Friday, February 3.
